The Legend Homes (a Brentwood TN based Luxury builder) team definitely understood the clients desire for this home to be their “dream” realized. And it helped that the client was an experienced tastemaker and interior designer. “Communication was key, hearing the vision and then seeing the vision come to life was a fabulous experience” shared Cherie G., the home’s owner and designer.
Color, texture and light are hallmarks of the homes interior. Beautiful details that at once are both sophisticated and comforting. The layout of the home is perfect for entertaining and promoting conversation.
When we walked through the design process to understand the needs for the flooring with our clients a few “must haves” were discovered that became front and center. These needs included color, grain and scale of the plank. Our clients wanted an “in trend look, without being being trendy”. We narrowed our search to a beautiful European White Oak. We all loved the grain pattern the wood had and felt it offered depth and a wonderful organic feel to the overall design. The coloration of the wood is a wonderful grey and timeless brown; at once timeless but creating an up to date feel and patina. Finally, having a floor board that was the right scale in the room was critical. We decided on a 7″ wide plank that is an inherent long length. The end result was perfecto!!
The colors and textures of the interior design are pure harmony. The chic feel has a timeless feel because everything works together. The furniture upholstery offers a bold “pop” that plays well with drama created floor to ceiling.
