Beautiful homes are born of a vision and a desire to create something special. One of our favorite projects that completed this year is a true reflection of the clients vision and desire for a special family home.
Situated on 10 beautiful acres in Franklin, Tennessee; this modern farmhouse built by Montgomery Classic Construction is a great example of casual elegance and a modern farmhouse design.
The light filled home, drawn by Preston Shea, is a modern family masterpiece. The layout is perfectly conducive for family. Mom and Dad have living quarters and work spaces on the main level and the children have a living area, bunk space and bedrooms upstairs. The home’s open living areas and kitchen are large, bright, inviting and the space is well used.
This client wanted a “one of a kind” floor that felt natural to the space, at place in the “country” but a timeless in trend design. We presented several options to the build and design team but one option clearly stood out…and immediately caught everyone’s attention. A Wide Plank, Northern Appalachian Character Grade Hickory with varied plank widths of 5″, 7″ and 11″, featuring long boards. We created a perfect brown stain for the flooring and finished the wood with a satin Conversion Varnish. Perfecto!
All in all, this home is spectacular. The details, livability and family warmth make this project one of our faves for 2019.
